Submissions

Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit their manuscript to alBIRUNI Journal of Islamic Education and Socio-Cultural Studies (BJIES) are kindly requested to follow the guidelines below:

1. General Requirements

• The manuscript has never been published and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

• The manuscript must be written in English or Indonesian using clear and academic language.

• All submissions must follow the journal’s template. Manuscripts that do not use the template will be returned for correction.

• Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system (OJS). Submissions via email will not be processed.

2. Manuscript Structure

A standard research article should include the following sections:

• Title

• Author(s) name and affiliation

• Abstract (150–250 words) with keywords (5 words)

• Introduction

• Literature Review (optional, may be integrated into introduction)

• Research Method

• Findings and Discussion

• Conclusion

• References (APA Style 7th edition)

3. Formatting

• File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

• Length: 3,000–7,000 words

• Font: Times New Roman, size 12 pt, 1.5 spacing

• Margins: 4 cm (left) and 3 cm (top, bottom and right)

• References and in-text citations must follow APA 7th Edition.

4. Template

5. Publication Frequency

BJIES is published twice a year (July and January). Articles received and accepted during the ongoing issue period (e.g., July–December) may still be published in the current issue depending on editorial readiness.

6. Ethical Considerations

• Authors must ensure the manuscript is free from plagiarism.

• Plagiarism screening will be conducted using similarity detection software.

• All research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards.
